The Halle Institute’s Program on Governance brings together the substantial faculty expertise at Emory with experts from around the world to address issues facing contemporary democracies and societies in transition. Themes include: markets and economic institutions, political and judicial institutions and processes, political parties, elections, and the media.

The Halle Institute partners with the government of South Korea to host Korean Fellows who work in government and politics for a residency of up to one year. Fellows pursue their scholarly interests at Emory while taking time away from their demanding positions in Seoul. The Halle Institute would like to thank Tarpley & Underwood, P.C. for its continued support of the Korean Fellowship program.
