Sarah Jacob is the US correspondent for New Delhi Television. Based out of New York over the past 3 years, Sarah has reported on a wide range of stories while traveling to over 20 states, from the US elections 2008, the Oscars, the Virginia tech shootout, and the G-20 summit, to the US Open and NY fashion week.
Last year, Sarah became the first Indian journalist to report from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. “Inside Guantanamo,” a half hour program on the politics behind the Guantanamo Bay detention facilities aired on NDTV in August 2009.
In 2005, Sarah graduated on a full scholarship from New York University with a Master’s degree in Broadcast and Documentary Journalism. There she received the Sidney Gross Award for Enterprising Journalism. Her undergraduate degree is from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi.
